St Dominic-Brookfield: Student Minister High School + (Full or Part-time)

This position is responsible for:
- Planning and executing Life Teen nights
- Recruiting and providing on-going training and support to a volunteer core team who assists you in accompanying young people to seek, know, and become Christ.
- Work with your fellow student minister to plan social events, retreats, Masses, and summer trips.
- Confirmation formation
- Enhancing our ministry to those out of high school and up to 22 years of age by bringing creative ideas and networking to this group
Full-time is ideal, but this could be a job-share.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- A dynamic Catholic faith. We desire someone whose relationship with Jesus is active, personal, and effusively life changing. This is more than just theological knowledge and mass attendance. This is life lived to the fullest that is contagious for teens.
- An ability to build meaningful relationships with, minister to, and teach a diverse array of middle school and high school students along with their parents. Candidates with demonstrated experience at a parish, as a missionary, or through an internship are preferred.
- Ability to professionally communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff, faculty, parents, volunteers and parishioners.
- Knowledge of the faith, including familiarity with scriptures and church teaching. The ideal candidate can use apologetics to defend the faith and exegesis to proclaim the gospel. This also includes liturgical familiarity. A degree in theology, religious studies, or related field or about to graduate with degree is required.
- Creative eye for producing promotional materials, as well as an attention to detail.
- A candidate with experience leading praise and worship music would be a blessing to our teens.
