Core Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings to determine weld sequence and requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain welding stations, equipment, and tools to ensure readiness and longevity.
- Collaborate with peers to complete work efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow and reinforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new welders when needed.
Required Background
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade/vocational schooling a plus.
- Proven experience as a welder supported by a strong portfolio.
- Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stick techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Analytical problem-solver who works well independently and in teams.
- Welding certification preferred but not mandatory.
