Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Location: Columbia VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia, SC 29209
Employment Type: Full-time (Contract: 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2029)
Job Description:
The Columbia VA Medical Center is seeking two (2) highly qualified CRNAs to provide anesthesia services for Veterans. Each CRNA will work an 8-hour shift (7:0 AM – 3:30 PM), with one CRNA rotating to cover after-hours call from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following day.
Hourly Pay is $175to $200 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care nursing, including ICU and OR support.
- Administer anesthesia and manage patients throughout surgical procedures.
- Obtain patient history and assess conditions for appropriate care planning.
- Administer IV therapies, medications, and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Perform life-saving measures and operate emergency equipment.
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Maintain thorough documentation and patient privacy in accordance with VA standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and follow physician orders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or Doctoral degree from a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted CRNA license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NBCRNA certification
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years. VA experience is a plus.
